Airport to Koh Samui same day — realistic?

Question

Land Surat Thani airport 1:30pm. Is there enough time to reach Donsak and catch a ferry to Samui or should we overnight in the city?

Tight but possible if flight is on time. Van to Donsak ~1.5hr, ferries until evening. After 3pm landing I'd overnight Surat — less stress, night market is decent.

Airport counters sell joint tickets. Seatran and Raja both run hourly in high season. Check last departure before you commit.
