Nai Harn — local-favourite bay, calmer vibe, fewer tour buses, good for couple week if you accept Grab for variety (Patong 25 min). Kata more restaurants and surf energy without Patong chaos. Both fine for swimming Nov–Apr. Nai Harn parking fills weekends — walk from hotel if central. Promthep 5 min away but skip sunset circus there — eat at Nai Harn lake restaurants instead. Book south-facing room for breeze.

Nai Harn quieter — Windmill viewpoint walk, fewer touts than Kata.
