Family of 4, kids 6 and 9. Want gentle waves, not party scene. Which west coast beach is better for a week stay?

Karon — wider beach, gradual slope, more space between umbrellas. Kamala quieter but fewer food options walking distance. Both fine for families. Avoid Patong with young kids — touts and jet skis stress parents.
