Karon north end or Nai Harn beach — calmer than Promthep. Windmill viewpoint near Ya Nui less packed than cape parking lot. Arrive 30 min before official sunset — Promthep is tour-bus central 5:30–6:30pm.

Rawai sea gypsy pier — working boats, not postcard but authentic. Good for seafood dinner after.
