Old City if culture is 70% of trip — stay inside moat, scooter or songthaew to Nimman evenings. Nimman if work calls daily — airport noise trade-off. Both 10 min apart; split only if you hate repacking.

Nimman for work afternoons — wifi cafes everywhere. Old City for sightseeing days. One base only: Nimman + red songthaew to Old City 30 baht.
