Friends say just day-trip White Temple from CM. Is 12–14 hours on a van worth it?

Day trip is 12–14 hours door to door for ~1hr at each temple — brutal. Bus from Arcade station 3 hours, 200-ish baht. Stay 2 nights minimum or fly CEI airport. Learned the hard way is a common story here.

Did day trip last year — destroyed. Bus up this time, completely different experience.
